Women Supporting Women: Here is a round-up of just a few female owned businesses who are crushing goals, inspiring females, and shining the light on what it truly means to be empowered.
PAUME- Your hands deserve a skincare routine. That’s where PAUME comes in. Founded by Amy Welsman, in 2019, this new mom relied on hand-sanitizer while adjusting to motherhood. When she realized most hand sanitizers were too harsh for the skin, smelt terrible, and were packaged in plastic, she was inspired to create her first products, the Moisturizing Antibacterial Hand Gel. Since then, PAUME has remained a dedicated skincare routine company for your hands, using clean formulas, signature scent, and sustainable practices.
Knix- Founder Joanna Griffiths launched Knix with the goal of transforming an underwear market. From the most comfortable wireless bras to super absorbent leakproof underwear, knix is designed to make you feel more comfortable in your own skin.
Partake Foods- From delicious cookies to indulging baking mixes, Partake was created by Founder and CEO Denise Woodard, when her daughter was diagnosed with multiple food allergies. Partake was made to offer a selection of delicious, allergy-friendly foods that those with and without food restrictions can enjoy. As a Black & Asian American woman, Denise reflects passion and raises awareness for Black and female entrepreneurship and increases opportunities for underrepresented people seeking careers in the food and beverage industry.
Cora- Everyone should have access to period care, and that’s why Molly Hayward (founder of Cora) is motivated in making that happen. Cora is a lifestyle brand offering people a modern method for managing their periods while providing sustainable menstrual products in developing countries. With each Cora purchase, they provide period products and body literacy resources to people who might otherwise go without.
Wildcraft Skincare- Empowerment. Wildcraft Skincare committed to making natural wellness as accessible as possible through approachable price points and a community to empower you to feel your best. Laura Whitaker, founded Wildcraft in hopes that every time you use a Wildcraft product, you’re creating a moment of simple luxury that empowers you to pause, slow down, and enjoy the beauty of taking care of yourself, naturally.
Golde- Get your glow on from the inside out. Trinity Mouzon Wofford is the co-founder, and CEO of GOLDE. Starting with her entrepreneurial journey of a launch of GOLDE’s Original Turmeric Latte Blend to a fast-growing superfood essential wellness company that effortlessly boost your daily routine, from morning smoothies to skincare, and everything in between.
Belli Welli- IBS Girlies Unite. Katie Wilson, founder of BelliWelli, was tired of all the “BS” found in conventional food labels that had a negative impact on her gut health. After suffering years of IBS, Katie took matters in her own hand and created a delicious, gluten-free, dairy-free, low sugar and certified low FODMAP bar- calling it BelliWelli.
Three Ships- Frustrated with the greenwashed, overpriced, and overcomplicated skincare on the market, Laura and Connie started Three Ships in 2017. Three Ships emphasizes on clean simple ingredients, ethical sourcing practices, and making beauty products affordable.
What the Flour- WTF’s mission is to make gluten-free eating nutrient-rich and delicious by using ancient grains and ingredients that you know can pronounce. Aside from making the most delicious GF baking mixes, this busy mom, female owned business proudly supports Mamas for Mamas, a national charity that supports mothers in crisis, by providing gluten-free options for families in need.
Ohh Foods- After developing a peanut and tree-nut allergy, Brittany Charlton founded OhhFoods. Taking matters into her own hands, she began to create her own snacks and sharing them with those around her. That’s where the magic happened and OhhFoods was created. Brittany’s mission to make the world a little safer and a lot sweeter with OhhFoods vegan, gluten free, and allergy friendly snacks.
